Aimee & Miles {mommy&me} - Coffeyville, KS

This is one of my favorites! Everything about these two was so sweet - lots of love here! I really get a sense of satisfaction doing portraits for people I know and being able to give them something to remember & cherish. I went to high school & college with two of Aimee's siblings but hadn't yet had the pleasure of meeting her. She's great & so is this adorable little guy:

I wasn't going to spill this location before, but I think everyone around here knows where it is already, so I'll divulge. We went to the old stone pool house here in Coffeyville so we could use the blue door. I guess Aimee & all her siblings worked at the pool so that was neat to have in her pictures! She had seen the blue door background in a recent maternity session and loved it, and then when we walked up to it, she said "Oh. Well that's kind of ugly in person!" Photoshop magic I suppose! ;) Anyway, these speak for themselves:

 We then moved on to another favorite spot - this one I'll keep a secret. I have been wanting to use books in a session and had packed up some Suess, and here comes Aimee with Where the Wild Things Are. PERFECT!

 "I'll eat you up, I love you so."

Lastly, we moved on out to the pasture to play in the wild flowers. Just kidding, Miles was really done with pictures at this point, but he was still SO well behaved! He did great, and his auntie was there making him smile.

Jake {3months} - Coffeyville, KS

This little guy is 3 months! He reached his "head-up" milestone and was so happy to just lay in bed and play with his feet! These are some of my very favorite baby pictures I've taken.  Sidenote: I knew I got a nice new bed/bedspread for a reason - because it photographs well! Check them out:

Jake {Baby} - Coffeyville, KS

Baby Jake is my first ever Baby Monthly client - other than my own daughter anyway! The Baby Monthly special is a steal and a great keepsake of baby's first year.  Check out more information here.

These are some of Jake's newborn/1 month (he spent his newborn days in the NICU so mom didn't get a chance for photos) and 2 month photos. Jake's mom is another old teammate of mine.  Love it when those people bring me their babies!

Family shot!

2-month:
How sweet is he in this crab hat? It's one of my favorite baby pictures!

Baby laughs!

Nicole & Kids {family}

Here's a special one for sure!  After having to call off their session last week because of the ice storm, I got to shoot for my cousin and her three kids.  While it still wasn't ideal - at 34 degrees - it went so well!  These three kiddos were so good and did exactly ask I asked!  Then, they would throw their coats on for a minute while we set the next shot.  We only shot for about 10 minutes and they were all keepers.

How cute are they?

Here's Adreanna, the oldest of the three, who was a little nervous about getting her picture taken:

And here is McKenzie, one of the twins, and probably the most comfortable in front of the camera:

And Kaleb, twin #2, who wasn't too interested in looking at me, let alone smiling:

Nikki works very hard to be such a good mom to these three and I sure am proud of her.

   I'd say they love her for it.

Before we rushed back into my car to warm up, I caught mom trying to weasel a smile out of Kaleb and I captured what turned out to be some of my favorite images I've ever produced:

Nikki & Dawson {couple}

This is easily one of my favorite shoots!  For one, they turned out so well since these two (and a shaggy half) are such good models, but this just so happens to be my best friend & her husband.  To make it even better, we got to shoot at my parents' place and found some awesome new locations.

Check out Madonna's reindeer antlers!  She looked directly at the camera for every shot!

And antler-free:

Got some gorgeous sun flare:

I love the fall colors in these last few:
