Natalie {CakeSmash} - Coffeyville, KS

Natalie is ONE!  Natalie is another one of my newborns who I got to watch smash a cake too.  She was actually my first newborn girl AND my first girl cake smash.
 I love the setup we used for her and it is so simple!  This is actually just my dining room floor & wall.  I had never thought to use it as-is, but I love how it worked out.

Before she got dirty, we took some regular shots - isn't she gorgeous?!

Pretty sisters snuck in for one!

And then the smashing commenced!

Ari {6months} - Coffeyville, KS

Ari J is 6 months old!  (We all know I'm behind on blogging, so really she is almost 8 months - crazy!)  I just LOVE her. Her personality is really starting to come out and I can't wait to see what she's like here in a few months.  She's so giggly and goofy and sweet - not to mention absolutely gorgeous.

 This is one of my favorite pictures of her!  We JUST started wearing headbands, too.
^^^Look at that wingspan and those long fingers!  Future pitcher?! I hope it's that instead of this model pose/look she is giving me.
 ^These were taken by the park that I frequently take pictures near.  There's such a pretty spot with a big fountain that has been there forever and I never even knew about it!

Ari Jude {3mo}

This sweet little girl is my own!  She's had a camera in her face since the day she was born - and lucky for me, she doesn't hate it yet.  I won't write much, but will just say that I love her to pieces! She is the sweetest little lady with the BEST and biggest dimpled smiles and the cutest giggles.  She makes me so happy!

Ari J. is 3 months old, so I had to capture the 3-month milestone - holding her head up.  We only shot for about 15 minutes, but I got some of my favorite pictures of her yet!  I also tried some new editing techniques for skin and eyes instead of using an action for that and I like the results.  Here she is:

And I had to get one of Abram & his sissy - he loves her!

Morgan {newborn}

I had the pleasure of photographing beautiful baby Morgan!  This one was special to me because not only did I grow up playing with her daddy who lived down the street, but her momma was a dear friend of mine through middle & high school and I had not seen her for years!  It was so great to catch up with her while baby Morgan was being super adorable and chill - mostly awake - but chill.  We only had one of these moments:

This was a great opportunity for me to use all of the awesome new props I bought, like this adorable crown from Handcrafted Crowns.

And this bonnet from HandmadebyLululu.

And this handspun gnome hat from A Piece of the Plan.  This was the first time I got to try this "tucked in" pose & I think I'll be adding it to my workflow from now on!

Today in microfashion: Morgan is rocking a sweet new pair of cream knit overalls.

I just think she looks like a little birdie in these:

It's always nice when clients bring in something personal to use as a prop.  Mom brought in this string of pearls that were her grandma's.

Baby Morgan's dad likes to play slow pitch, so he wanted his gear incorporated into the shoot.  You'll never guess how mom put this little bow on her head - Karo syrup!

Lastly, I tried to capture all her tiny details - something that is so important to do, but easily skipped.  Teeny feet:

 Tiny hands:

 And a cute nose & smushy (word?) lips:

Thank you for letting me document this fleeting time for you, T & J!
