Nikki & Dawson {couple}

This is easily one of my favorite shoots!  For one, they turned out so well since these two (and a shaggy half) are such good models, but this just so happens to be my best friend & her husband.  To make it even better, we got to shoot at my parents' place and found some awesome new locations.

Check out Madonna's reindeer antlers!  She looked directly at the camera for every shot!

And antler-free:

Got some gorgeous sun flare:

I love the fall colors in these last few:

Alvidrez {Family}

I was so excited to photograph this family, one that I have known for quite some time.  The twins and I had played softball together since grade school, and I have already had the pleasure of taking photos for V's gorgeous little family (see the photos in my Children and Families galleries at www.photographybymeganalyse.com).  This is the largest group I have ever photographed, and we got to shoot at what is probably the best location in town.  Good thing there were so many of them to help lug all my chairs & junk the quarter mile down the trail!

Here they are all together, 3 generations:

And then we did every possible different family combination! :)

Grandparents & grandbabies

All the kids:

 Uncle and his niece & nephews:

 V's Family, A's Family:

And these two were celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary!

Just the kiddos - love this one!  They were so ornery, it's a miracle they all looked at the same time!

New baby!

She was just waiting for a picture to be taken of just her. Adorable!

This little man started walking since I last photographed him!
 He just walked straight up into my lens & kept eye contact the whole time!
 V's family walking the trail...a good trick for candids:

MY Family Photos!

For the past year and a half, since I got my camera, I have been behind it trying to document all the wonderful moments of Abram's life -and now Ari's too- that I'll never get to witness again.  All the cute things that happen, they're gone in an instant and though right now I'm a steel trap, I know I will someday forget all the nuances of his personality. We can never relive a moment, so I've been trying to preserve them all!

The only downside to that is the fact that I am never in any of the photos with the rest of my family.  Honestly, I REALLY don't mind this fact.  However, years down the road, these beautiful babies will want to see what our family looked like "back then."  After recently watching another photographer on CreativeLIVE.com who spoke about how you needed to document your legacy for your children, I took that to heart.  Plus, we need to send out Christmas cards now that we are a family of four!

My wonderful momma volunteered to be our photographer.  I got her all set up and she pushed the button for us!  She did great - I just LOVE these photos!  I love how Abram looks just like his daddy (except for his blondie shag) and how Ari looks like a porcelain doll.

And then I got to capture the sibling moments.  He loves his sissy!

And here are a couple outtakes:

Blake {Cake Smash}

Aside from newborns, first birthday cake smashes are my favorite thing to shoot.  It is so fun to watch these growing babies discover, taste test, and then proceed to destroy their pretty little birthday cakes!

I had the pleasure of photographing this moment for Blake.  I have been documenting his life since he was a newborn.  Not only is his momma one of my dear friends, but he was the first newborn I photographed.   Here he is then:

Blake is having a farm themed birthday party, so he came in his overalls.

This little pine stump chair is my son's that his Papa made him & I was excited to use it!

His momma made him this awesome giant cupcake - she did a great job!

He was so funny when he first got the cake, just studying it and gently touching the sprinkles.

 When he finally got a taste, he really liked it.  Mom & Grandma had to help really dig in, though.  The happy noises he was making were adorable!

Once we put the cake on the floor, he really went to business!

 He had it everywhere!  Even in his crazy long, pretty eyelashes!

And all over his little tootsies...

Apparently, when Blake is full, he makes raspberries, so that's how we knew he was done!

But, we had to keep the shoot going until we got a smile...

I'd say he enjoyed it!  I'm so glad I got to capture these fun memories for Blake & his mommy!  Happy Birthday, buddy!
